How I work · Five practices
Services
Five ways I work with teams: strategy and audits, AI content operations, UX content design, content systems and governance, and futures design. Each runs on its own or as part of a larger engagement.
What I do
Content Strategy
Audits, roadmaps and a plan tied to what the business needs
AI Content Operations
Editorial judgment and machine assistance, working together
UX Content Design
The right words inside the product, on your product pages, and in the conversations around it
Content Systems and Governance
Structure, taxonomy and workflows that scale across teams
Futures Design
Strategic foresight meets content design, to help your brand be there first.
Common questions
- How do engagements usually work?
- Most start with a short conversation about the work and the timing, followed by a written proposal with a fixed scope and dates. Some clients book a single piece of work, such as an audit or a strategy; others bring me in on a fractional basis for a few days a month.
- Do you work with teams outside Canada?
- Yes. I'm based in Halifax, Canada and work remotely with teams worldwide, including brands in the United States and Europe. Meetings are scheduled around your timezone where I can.
- What does a content audit include?
- An inventory of what you already publish, an assessment of what earns attention and what duplicates effort, a look at how search engines and AI tools describe you today, and a prioritised list of what to keep, fix, merge or retire.
- Can you work alongside our existing team or agency?
- Often that's the point. I work with in-house teams, designers, developers and agency partners, setting the strategy and standards that everyone writes to, rather than replacing the people already doing the work.
